MEDICAL OUTREACH
So far since last year, we have carried out 4 public medical outreach engagements attending to over 730 persons through medical consultations and safe-drug administration. This is an example page. It’s different from a blog post because it will stay in one place and will show up in your site navigation (in most themes). Most people start with an About page that introduces them to potential site visitors. It might say something like this.
EMPOWERMENT
Empowerment through Technology Programme ETP – Empowerment through Technology Program: 2 ETP edition held training graduates on variety of hands-on information Tech skills. Over 50 participants have benefitted immensely from this. We have also been able to get good jobs and other intern postings to few of the trainees in top rated companies and a MNC.
PRISON VISIT
After following lots of due diligence, we got the nod of the Comptroller of Prisons to be visiting the Kirikiri prisons. For now, we feature every 1st and 3rd Sat of the month. Volunteers engage the inmates in soul-lifting discussion and motivation. We also train them across diverse areas of our endervours. Visit the volunteer project session to be part of this.
ENVIRONMENTAL
As part of our drive for clean and healthy environment, we embarked on a thorough environmental Sanitation exercise of the Oshodi Cairo Market and Environs. We also gave a talk to all marketers on the reason why they must embrace the culture of cleanliness in all spheres of life. It was a massive turn-out and overall good engagement with representatives from local govt officials
REGISTER TO VOTE CAMPAIGN
In partnership with another group, Muslim Vanguards, AVI embarked on Register to Vote Walk around Oshodi and its environs. This became imperative when the turn-out for registration of the last 2015 Presidential election was having a poor turn-out. It was interesting to note that, people asked several questions as we moved along the long convoy of rally and clarifications were sought and given. We are equally happy to note that it has a substantial impact on the overall electoral success that ushered in a new democratically elected President.
